John 1:4-5 Jesus: The Light of the World

Jesus is light and Jesus is life.  He is the light of the world.  He shows how we ought to live before God.  When we walk in the light we have life eternal.  John 17:3 says “…and this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true GOD, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”  To walk in the Light is to walk in Christ or to abide in Christ.  From John 15 we see that abiding in Him has to do with us obeying and keeping His commandments.  When we are abiding in Him we know Him and have a personal relationship with Him.  It is this type of knowing, that is to have a personal and intimate relationship with Him, that we have eternal life.

Do you know Him personally as your Lord and Savior?  Do you have the  intimate relationship where He is the center of your life and your other relationships?  Do you KNOW Him?
